The Institute of Frontier Information Technology of Zhongyuan University of Technology was established in January 2019. 

The institute consists of four scientific research institutions: Advanced Computing Research Center, Network Public Opinion Research Center, Artificial Intelligence Research Center and Blockchain Research Center, and has a master's degree in the first-level discipline of "Cyberspace security". It has established "Henan Province International Joint Laboratory of Blockchain and Data Sharing", "Henan Province Key Laboratory of Network Public Opinion Monitoring and Intelligent Analysis", "Henan Province Network and Data Security Engineering Research Center", "Zhengzhou Key Laboratory of Blockchain and Data Security Sharing", "Zhengzhou Key Laboratory of Computer Network Security System Security Assessment", "Advanced Computing and Code Security Division" Analysis Laboratory "and" Shenwei Autonomous controllable Information security Technology Innovation Laboratory "and other scientific research platforms. The Institute aims to further integrate the disciplinary resources in the field of information technology of the university, explore the mechanism and system of scientific research, personnel training and military-civilian integration with discipline construction as the impetus, establish a disciplinary platform, and better carry out scientific research and personnel training in the field of cutting-edge information technology.

Introduction to each research center

1. Blockchain Research Center
  The Blockchain Research Center now has 6 full-time researchers, 21 postgraduate students, and Professor Si Ximing, the director of the Institute, serves as the director of the center. The Center also has special professors to jointly conduct scientific research and discipline construction.
 The research center mainly researches theoretical and common technical issues such as blockchain data security sharing, blockchain architecture, smart contract security, consensus mechanism, etc., and carries out applied research and development work in data sharing in education, medical care, government affairs and other fields. In recent years, it has undertaken a number of provincial major projects in the field of blockchain, such as Henan Province's major public welfare project "Research and Development of key technologies in the field of data security Sharing", Henan Province's major soft project "14th Five-Year Plan and Medium and long-term Science and Technology Development Plan for Frontier technologies such as Blockchain", and participated in the compilation and declaration of the national key research and development project "Blockchain" special guidelines.

The research center has established good cooperative relations with well-known domestic blockchain enterprises such as Fujian Fuchain Technology Co., LTD., Henan Zhongdun Yunan Information Technology Co., LTD., Zhengzhou Shengjian Network Technology Co., LTD. With Fuchain Technology Co., Ltd. and Zhongdun Yunan Information Technology Co., LTD., we have jointly built a school-enterprise joint laboratory to jointly train master students, and cooperated in the development of a number of blockchain application systems.

2. Advanced Computing Research Center
 The main research directions of the Advanced Computing Research Center are big data processing and machine learning supporting software and optimization technology, research and development of domestic autonomous controllable key core software and code security analysis. The center has established good cooperative relations with National Information Security Engineering Technology Center, Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jiangnan Institute of Computing Technology, National Supercomputing Wuxi Center, Chengdu Sunway Technology Co., LTD. Has been in the library of Jiangnan Institute of Computing Technology military scientific research outsourcing supplier units and the Chinese People's Liberation Army Rocket Force engineering University and Aviation Industry Corporation of China Luoyang Electro-optical equipment Institute outsourcing supplier units.

3. Internet Public Opinion Research Center

The Internet Public Opinion Research Center has 555 square meters of scientific research rooms and 9.5 million yuan of scientific research and experiment equipment.  

Centering on the direction of comprehensive governance of cyberspace (online public opinion, Internet content risk control) and the direction of network security (Internet of vehicles security, wearable security), the center carries out basic theoretical research, social services and personnel training for application needs. It has built a network public opinion monitoring platform for colleges and universities in Henan Province and an online information monitoring and early warning platform for Henan Province. It has successively provided public opinion and security services for Henan Provincial Internet Information Office, Provincial Education Department, Provincial Public Security Department, Provincial National Security Department, Provincial Industry and Information Technology Commission, Provincial Discipline Inspection Commission, Provincial United Front Work Department and other government departments, with good social benefits. Online public opinion research and social service capabilities are at the leading level of universities in the province.

The center has established academic cooperation with Wuhan University, Dalian University of Technology, PLA Information Engineering University, Songshan Laboratory, University of Sao Paulo in Brazil, Brunel University in the United Kingdom and other universities to jointly carry out doctoral training and project cooperation; With Beijing Tuosi, Sina Micro Hot spot Research Institute, Henan Dingxin Security, Evan Technology and other high-tech enterprises to build a graduate internship training base, joint scientific and technological research and project cooperation. Organize graduate students to achieve good results in a number of domestic information security attack and defense competitions and discipline competitions.

4. Artificial Intelligence Research Center
  Professor Qu Boyang, Director of the Center, has published more than 100 SCI/EI papers in the past five years, including 20 papers in JCR Region I, 2 papers in ESI top 1% highly cited papers and 2 papers in ESI top 2% highly cited papers. Since 2013, the paper has been cited more than 3,600 times by Google, H-index25, and a single paper has been cited up to 1,138 times. He presided over and participated in 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation and 2 projects of the Youth Foundation, and won a number of scientific research awards such as the second prize of Natural Science of the Ministry of Education, the second Prize of Science and Technology Progress of Henan Province, and Wu Wenjun Award of Outstanding Youth in Artificial Intelligence.
  The Artificial Intelligence Center focuses on the design and application of intelligent optimization algorithms, multi-objective optimization algorithms, and multi-modal optimization algorithms.
